Mrs. Perry

Hi there!
My name is Mrs. Perry and I am your kindergarten teacher this year! I am so excited to meet you. I can't wait to hear all about the adventures you have been on this summer. Here is a little about me.

I have been a teacher for 14 years now. I started teaching in the Kent School District and taught first and second grades. Then I moved up to Issaquah and have taught third grade at Endeavour and Grand Ridge. Last year I was the reading specialist here at Grand Ridge.

I grew up down the road a little bit in Bellevue and attended Newport High School. From then I went on to continue my studies at the University of California, Berkeley where I majored in psychology with an emphasis in child development. After graduating, I worked at a Montessori school for a year. Then I went to graduate school at the University of Puget Sound to get my Masters degree.

I am mom of two young boys, Jameson (3 1/2) and Logan (10 months) and married to Brian. We love to spend time outdoors. Our favorite thing to do is to go camping.

In addition to being a teacher and a mom, I also enjoy photography and own my own business called True Light Photography.

I am looking forward to spending the year with you and excited for all of our learning adventures we will go on!

  2. LOVE that you have a blog!! Owen's first words after school today, "From the first second I walked in the door, I was having fun!" This from the boy who asked not to go to school for months. Thanks!
