We have been having a string of complaints with some of the play that is happening at the AM recess. I have told the kids they are no longer allowed to play ANY chasing games or "fighting pretend bad guy" games.
Some of the students involved in this type of imaginative play are taking it too far and are making other kids in the class uncomfortable. I have asked all the kids in the class to report to me if this play continues at recess.
Please have a conversation with your child about things they can do at recess time that do not involve pretend fighting or chasing. There is a huge big toy with slides and bars, ball, and hulu hoops they can play with.
Thank you for your support in this matter. We want all kids to feel safe and happy at recess time.
