Kidney Beans

I am in search of a bag of kidney beans. We will be using it for a math activity this week. I only need one bag for both classes. If you are able to donate one, please indicate so by posting a comment below. I will need the bag tomorrow (Thursday). Thanks!

After School Movie

Our next After School Movie is coming soon! Join us in watching Megamind on either March 9th or March 23rd.

100th Day Celebration

Friday, February 11th will be our 100th Day of School Celebration! The kids will be rotating throughout 3 kindergarten classrooms where we have fun stations planned. In one room, the kids will be stamping 100 stamps. In another room, the kids will be making groovy 100s day glasses and in the last room, the kids will be preparing their own special 100s snack! In order to make this event possible, we need the following donations:

1 Costco bag of pretzles
4 boxes (10 oz) of Honey Teddy Grahams

*Note to those families whose child has food allergies. These are the items that the kids will be putting into their snack back at the celebration. They will not be eating them at school however they will be touching these items. If you are concerned about any of these items, you may send in an alternate food choice in a plastic ziploc bag marked with their name. The students will be placing ten of each item listed into a bag, so you would only need to put ten into a ziploc bag.

Scholastic Book Order Survey

I have a problem with the scholastic book order forms. They do not send me enough for both classes. We have been making copies of the order forms and sending them home. These are time consuming to make and expensive for the school. I am wondering if there is another option.

Valentines

Valentines are more than welcome in our room! Not only are they excellent opportunity to practice handwriting, but they’re fun! Have your child write the names of their classmates on their valentines in their best handwriting. The kids can start bringing in their Valentines on Monday, Feb. 7th. *Please make sure that your child has a valentine for every student in their class. We don’t want any hurt feelings. The kids will have an opportunity to read their valentines at our Friendship celebration on Monday the 14th.
